Eragon, a young adult fantasy novel, is the first book in the Inheritance Cycle. It tells the story of a young boy named Eragon who hatches a dragon, Saphira, out of a mysterious stone he finds in the woods. Eragon bonds closely with Saphira and becomes a dragon rider, drawing the attention of the evil king Galbatorix, who sends his servants, the Ra'zac, to kill him. While escaping from the Ra'zac, Eragon and his mentor Brom become embroiled in plots against the evil king.

Orik arrives after they wake and requests that Eragon wait upont the leader of the Varden, Ajihad. He is given his horse and rides through the great tunnel of the underground city. At the end of the tunnel is a giant chamber, 12 miles high. Eragon mounts Saphira and follows another path to a mountain within the crate atop the underground tunnel. Here he finds the marble city of Tronjheim and a large sum of people waiting to see him, cheering excitedly. They are greeted by many cheering people, looking upon the magnificent archways and carvings as they make their way through the city. They continue along admiring the worksmanship of the dwarves before being brought to a large wood door.
