Twilight

By Stephanie Meyer

Publication Information: Atom, published year 2006, number of pages 434.

The first book in a series of five books.

A thrilling tale of a not so averaged high school romance, a book that has everything.

Its heartbreaking romance and suspenseful twists made it hard for me to put the book down.

"Softly he brushed my cheek, then held my face between his marble hands. 'Be very still,' he whispered, as if I wasn't already frozen. Slowly, never moving his eyes from mine, he leaned toward me. Then abruptly, but very gently, he rested his cold cheek against the hollow at the base of my throat."

Twilight if about a girl named Isabella Swan, but preferred to be called Bella.

Bella moves from the sunny Phoenix, Arizona to grey and rainy Forks, Washington to live with her father.

She has almost lived with her mom her whole life, so now she chooses to do this, so that her mom Rene can travel with her new husband Phil, who is a successful baseball player and has to travel a lot with his team.

Bella hasnt been that typical popular girl in her old school, but everything changed when she moved to Forks and started to go to a new high school. She appeared not to be that averaged teenage girl that she always identified her self with. She had drawn much attention to her in the new school and she quickly had a whole new social circle than she was used to belong to. The other students found her very interesting and cool, they saw her as a very down to earth, confident and intellectual girl.

Her first day in school flows by pain free and better than expected, until her biology class.

She sits next to a boy named Edward Cullen, he is the most beautiful creature that she has ever seen. Lanky, with a perfect chalky pale skin, untidy bronze-colored hair, dark and beautiful eyes. But he doesnt seem to think the same about her, he actually seemed quite repulsed by her. After that day she couldnt get Edward of her mind, it was like his beauty and his mysterious nature had putted her under a spell. She dreamed about him at night, she always looked for him at school, especially in the cafeteria, where the rest of his group always sat, at the same table with him.

There where four others of them. All beautiful, perfect pale skin and bodies that could been placed on the cover of Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, just like their other group member Edward. Who where they?

She couldnt get the fact that he always looked nauseated of his very sight of her. Had she done something to offend him? No. Did she look or smell very awful? Probably not, since she was pretty appreciated by the other students.

The weeks passed, Edward didnt say a word to her in class, didnt look at her. He had even tried to change his schedule, so that he wouldnt have biology with her, shed heard.

Some days his eyes looked dark, almost black, and some days she noticed that his eyes where gold brown, almost like honey. Some days he looked weak, and exhausted and some days he looked like those days could never exist in his life. When it was sunny outside, which it wasnt very often, Edward and his siblings where always missing in school.

One day, something miraculous happened, Edward Cullen spoke to her in biology class.

She didnt know why, but he was pretty nice but still kept his distance to her.
