Blood and Chocolate by Annette Klause is the second book I read. The main character here is Vivian, a mythical creature. Vivian appears to be human but can turn into a werewolf/wolf. Throughout the story Vivian wants to tell the human boy she fell in love with, Aiden, about her secret. She fears that he might not love her anymore if that is to happen. Not only will there be a chance of losing him, she will also be betraying the pack, her family, all for a meat-boy.

Vivian fell in love with Aiden, something she would never had done. Aiden loves mythical creatures, such as: vampires, fairies, werewolves, etc. She thought that when she told Aiden about her secret, he would understand and love her and stay with her. She was wrong. One night Aiden invited Vivian to his house. He was planning to have sex with her. It was a full moon. She had decided to tell Aiden about her secret. Aiden thought it was a joke at first, but when Vivian turned into a werewolf right in front of his eyes, instead of acceptances she received hatred and fear.

She had lost everything. With the pack, there was a killer. If the pack didnt find who was killing the humans, then the pack would be forced to move to another place. The pack, leaderless, decided to make a ritual event to pick the leader. A guy named Gabriel was chosen. Vivian was the victorious with the other female wolfs. Without knowing Vivian had made herself the mate of Gabriel. She rebels greatly through out the book, for one falling for the human and not mating with Gabriel.

She was fighting against her nature and against the pack for the human. I believe person vs. self, she knew she shouldnt be falling in love with a human but she went ahead anyways, she made those decisions. Also person vs. person (or werewolf vs. werewolf) she fought with the pack to keep Aiden alive, they found out Vivian had told him.

The part where her whole lives changes has to be when she tells Aiden about her secret. The pack finds out, she losses her friends and she losses Aiden, the person she cared for the most.

I had several favorite parts, they were all when Aiden and Vivian would go on dates and hang out. I find it very cute. Also I was super entertained when Vivian and Aiden were about to have sex and she tells him about her transforming into a wolf, its a super awesome. I was pretty much in shock. I fell in love with the book dearly. Yet I hate the ending. It was so very unexpected. When I realized it was the last page of the story I was a little upset at what her decision was. I expect and demand a sequel. People should read this, it is a wonderful book. I read it twice in one week, I had to, once I was done I reread it. I plan to read more books by this author.
