Bernard Marx is a major character in Brave New World and probably the most interesting. In the beginning, when the author introduces the story plot, a character show up and define the law of order. The World State had just become a utopia; free of emotion and desire. Huxley describes Bernard as a jealous man toward Henry Foster because he is successfully acquiring Lenina Crowne. Many other interesting things portrayed Barnard of being different as story continue.

The story is place in a perfect world where everyone is like a peaceful, happy, carefree puppets. Five castes spit the intelligent and the brainless yet even the most academic Alpha are fail to see that they live in a corrupt world. It not their fault after all the brainwash and drug they have to endure. Bernard stands out from the crown because of emotion to see the truth and the desire to seek the love one. He is portrayed as a thin and small person to be an Alpha and his lack of confident also separate him from the society. In his world there are not be any affection nevertheless he get anger when he hears Henry Foster talking about Lenina as if she were a piece of meat. Sometime he would say oddest thing that show he is different.you had something inside youa feeling that Ive got something important to say and the power to say it The most conductive event in Bernards character is when he return The World State with the discovery of John. He became popular and starts to participate in the society more so than ever before. Back then he somewhat criticizes the society now hes enjoying every part of it because of his gain of popularity. He is acting like a real human being. Everyone else popping the soma and acting like a zombie but Bernard. He thinks for himself after that turning point. He was happy but he also saw his corrupt society. After the death of Linda, he resists the society. He was banish to the island because he was different and was able to see the light.

The primary character in Brave New World is Bernard. He was the protagonist because he is different from everyone else. His unique self challenge the whole world.
