Cry, The Beloved Country by Alan Paton

Cry, the Beloved Country is the story of Stephen Kumalo, a black priest from a backwoods Natal village in South Africa. Stephen travels to Johannesburg where racial tensions are boiling toward a future dominated by Apartheid.
