The Tempest

The Tempest by William Shakespeare

A play about forgiveness, magic and the pursuit of justice, The Tempest takes place on an isolated island. The magician Prospero has been on the island for 12 years. He causes a ship carrying the King of Naples, Alonso, and others, to shipwreck upon its shores. Prospero causes the crash so that he can avenge the wrongs committed against him by Alonso years ago. On the island, Alonso's son Ferdinand falls in love with Prospero's daughter Miranda, which paves the way for Prospero and Alonso to be reconciled.
