The Iliad by Homer

The Iliad is a Greek epic poem by Homer chronicling part of the last year of the Trojan War. After King Agamemnon steals Achilles' captive, Briseis, Achilles refuses to fight for him against the Trojans. The Greeks begin to lose against the Trojans and, after the death of Patroklos, Achilles goes into battle. After many battles and interferences by the gods, Achilles kills Hector, disgracing his body. Finally Trojan King Priam begs Achilles for Hector's body and Achilles returns the body.
