Life is Beautiful tells the story of Guido, an Italian Jewish man, and his wife, Dora, who fall in love, marry, and have a son as the Nazis take over Europe and the Fascists grow in power. When their son, Joshua, is a young boy, the family is taken to a concentration camp, and Guido must try to shield Joshua from the horrors of the camp by pretending that it is all a game. This award-winning film explores love, innocence, and the horrors of war.
