Should they both die or one die and the other set free? To me Lady Macbeth should be executed because she pushed Macbeth to do everything for fame. Lady Macbeth was the master mind in the whole book, she always pushed Macbeth to do things that he didnt want to do. You are sitting in the court room and you are listening to Macbeth and Lady Macbeths pleads to be not guilty. I am the judge and I notice something really strange going on with Lady Macbeth, she is repeating herself and that is what guilty people do when they are hiding something.

Lady Macbeth should be the one executed because she was behind every murder and everything bad that happened. When they invited Duncan to come over Lady Macbeth planned the murder before anyone else could. Lady Macbeth did not advise Macbeth to kill Duncan but she pushed him to kill him. Lady Macbeth always seemed quality because Lady Macbeth would get into a trance and relive the accident trying to wash the blood from her garments and hands proving the guilty conscience.

Lady Macbeth planned the murder of Duncan by taking the daggers from the servants and putting them in a place where Macbeth could easily find them and she thought she heard the servants get up and she started to freak out because she could have killed Duncan herself but she did not want to get caught so she made Macbeth do it. Lady Macbeth tried to cover Macbeths guilty conscience by saying that the things that the servants said didnt mean anything, Macbeth feels terrible about what he had done. Lady Macbeth tells Macbeth that if he thinks about what he just did he will go crazy. Macbeths guilty conscience keeps telling him that what he has done is very wrong and that he should not listen to his wife anymore but by him being so vulnerable Lady Macbeth takes full advantage of that and tells him that he should just forget about it and whats done is done.

In act one scene 6 Lady Macbeth says (unsex me here, and fill me, from the crown to the toe, top-full of direst cruelty) this to me means that she wants to not be women like. Lady Macbeth wants to be strong like a man and not have a heart like women do. Also in act one scene 7 lines 36-39 (Lady Macbeth says that Macbeth does not love her) because Macbeth does not want to go through with the murder of Duncan. Macbeth agrees to kill him and Lady Macbeth says to him on (page 452 look like the innocent flower but be the serpent underneath). This quote means to act like everything is okay and act like you like him but when the time comes attack.

For my conclusion I think that Lady Macbeth should be put to death instead of Macbeth, because she is the master mind behind everything. All Lady Macbeth wanted was fame; she also wanted to be queen and Macbeth to be king. Macbeth should not be punished as bad because it was like he was in a trance. Lady Macbeth to me is one of the worst people in this whole book. She should feel the pain that she bestowed onto other people by killing their families. And that is why I think Lady Macbeth should be executed.
