Antony and Cassius already have a lot of power in Roman society, but who would make a better leader? Leaders in the past have shown that they are a good leader by showing if they have faith, how persuasive they are and how much power they have. In the play Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare, Mark Antony and Cassius both show that they are good leaders, but Antony is a better leader compare to Cassius. Antony and Cassius both compare to each other in faith and how pervasive they are; however they contrasted in power.

To be a good leader you must have faith. In the play Juius Caesar Antony and Cassius both show it. When Antony was standing over Caesars body he said O, pardon me, thou bleeding piece of earth, that I am meek and gentle with these butchers! Thou art the ruins of the noblest man that ever lived in the tyde of times A curse shall light upon the limbs of me, domesticfury and fierce ciil strife shall cumber all the parts of Italy; Blood and destruction shall be so in use and dreadful objects so familiar, (III, i, 277) Now that Antony is alone with Caesars body he speaks truthfully what he really think of the conspirators. Antony plans to revenge Caesars death. Antony has faith that he will do so because he is motivated by casers death. men at some time are masters of their fates; The fault dear Brutus is not in our stars, but in our selfs, that we are underling(I,ii,148) Cassius is still trying to get Brutus on his side, what Cassius is saying is that Romes own fault for being servile to one man. Men dont have much control over their destinies, and its not anyones fault.

Great leaders are persuasive. yet Brutus says he was ambitious; And Brutus I an honorable man. I speak not to disprove what Brutus spoke, But here I am to speak what I do know. You all did love him once, not without cause.. Bear with me, my heart is in the coffin there with Caesar, and I must pause till it come back to me. (III,ii, 99) This part of the speech, Antony got the crow to be on his side. well Brutus thou art noble; yet I see thy honorable mettle may be wrought from that it is disposed. Therefore it is meet that noble minds keep ever with their likes; for who so firm that cannot be seduced? (I, ii, 325) said Cassius. Even though Cassius thinks Brutus is a noble guy he thinks anyone could be manipulated.

Another quality leaders have is power. friends, Romans, country men, lend me your ears!(III, ii, 82) Antony said with power. Even though Antony promise he wont bad mouth Caesars assassins he made his speech so that people would go against the conspirators and lunch himself into a position of power. why, man he doth bestride the narrow world like a colossus, and we petty men walk under his huge legs and peep about to find ourselves dishonorable graves. (I, ii, 143) said Cassius as he tries to convince Brutus that Caesar needs to be taken down. He thinks Roman leaders are colossus then ask is he all powerfull? Or is he made out to be a bigger threat then he really is.

Leaders in the past have shown that they are a good leader by showing if they have faith, how persuasive they are and how much power they have. In the play Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare, Mark Antony and Cassius both show that they are good leaders, but Antony is a better leader compare to Cassius.
