In the poem To the Virgins to Make Much of Time Robert Herrick illustrates that the gift of virginity is to be a great waste if not given while it is still desirable, which I can relate to this poem very well being that I am young lady myself and my time here on earth is very precious and need to be spent wisely. The understanding that I receive from this poem is speaking of virginity and how one should get married by finding that special someone, settling down, and living your life to the fullest with that person, also being fruitful and multiplying once you become a unity. I feel that my life is every bit of what it is suppose to be.

I met my love when I was nineteen years old; we currently live together, but we are not married yet all due to procrastination on both of our ends. In (Line5). The sun represents to me as youth and (Line 14). And while ye may, go marry expresses the need to enjoy life now and to put to good use of all things while youthful. These two lines seems to speak directly to me and my current situation , I am only twenty-eight years old I am still young but not as young as I was when I first met my love that is now the father of our two beautiful children that we have together, but yet not my husband. My plans did not quite happen the way I had planned for it to turn out, I must say that I am grateful for him and my children because there are other females out here in the world everyday looking for love, wanting a family, and who is very bitter behind not finding nor having that family life while continuing to age every day and time is ticking away.

Like in (Line 3). And this same flower that smiles today is referring to a young lady as a flower that is happy while being content with herself and her life all while still in the blooming stages of her early youthful years, (Line 4). Tomorrow will be dying is pertaining to not waiting around and letting time pass you by because what you know as today will soon fade and there is no way of getting back lost time. In the end life is all about what you make of it, the ups the downs, joys and the pains in which we all have choice to make and live with, life does not wait or stop for no one, so stop worrying about the things that we cannot change and start accepting the ones we can, while leaving the rest in GODs hands for him to work them out in his time that he designed especially for each and everyone of is ladies.
