The Collected Poems by Gerard Manley Hopkins

The Collected Poems publishes many of the most famous poems by Gerard Manley Hopkins, the 19th-century English poet. Most of Hopkins fame came after his death, when he influenced other poets. His poems cover numerous themes, from nature to religion, and employ rich imagery, both sensuous and abstract. One of his most famous contributions to poetry was the development of "sprung rhythm," which, unlike the strict structures of most poetry at the time, employed a looser more conversational structure in poems.
