The Godfather

The Godfather by Francis Ford Coppola

The Godfather is the story of Michael Corleone, straight-laced son of ruthless mob boss Don Vito Corleone. Michael, a veteran of World War II, is drawn back into his family's affairs after an attempt on Don Vito's life just barely fails. Michael slowly transforms into the Mafioso that his father always wanted and eventually takes control of the family in the wake of Vito's retirement and his elder brother Sanito's death in a shooting.
