A Clockwork Orange is a film directed by Stanley Kubrick based on the novel by Anthony Burgess. The film follows Alex, a psychopathic young man who roams the streets for adventure, raping women and stealing. Eventually Alex is sent to prison and later given the opportunity to participate in a psychological experiment that will condition him to abhor evil. After the agonizing experiment, Alex is released into the world where he has great trouble integrating with society. The film deals with the relationship between psychology, morality and societal conventions.
