Saint Joan is the story of Joan of Arc unfolded in six scenes over the course of a tragic play. It deals with Joan's struggle to accept that she hears the voice of God, then her rallying of France's forces, and finally her imprisonment, trial, and execution. The play is famous for having no true antagonists and for handling evenly the motivations of all parties involved in Joan's crusade and execution.
