The Rime of the Ancient Mariner is a poem about the ancient mariner, who stops the wedding guest and tells his seafaring story. After being tossed towards Antarctica in a storm, the mariner shoots an albatross, cursing the ship. Stuck in the doldrums, they lose a bet to the ship of Death and the crew dies.
