    Ovid's Metamorphoses is a collection of hundreds of myths told by the Roman poet Ovid and organized into fifteen books, weaving a mythic history of the world from its creation until Julius Caesar. The tales include interactions and struggles between gods and humans, the Trojan War, and Rome, centering on the theme of metamorphoses, of changing fortunes and physical forms.
