Othello

Othellos character is a very mysterious man, not only is he a black man and that there is magic brewing every where Tis true. Theres magic in the web of it. (Act 3 Scene 4 lines 71) Not only is there a touch of mystery to Othello but seems to be a streak of jealousy to the main plot and it is the root of all evil in this play. Othello is incredibly gullible ant this causes him to be jealous in-fact outrageously jealous, that he looses control of himself and acts on his emotions. Othellos jealousy is so strong that it is seen in the eyes of other characters, especially the villains like Iago. O, beware, my lord, of jealousy. It is the green-eyed monster which doth mock the meat if feeds on. (Act 3 Scene 3 line 178-180)

Othellos gullibility is tragically sad, but this is where it is almost ironic. Othello believes the one person whom wishes to do him wrong in the worst of ways. Iago drives a wedge of disbelief and un-trust between Desdemona and Othello. Jealousy comes out and infact Othello does turn into the green-eyed monster, when Iago has Emilia steal a handkerchief from Desdemona and gives it to Iago. Othello begins to believe that she is cheating on him, when Othello finds the handkerchief in Cassios lodging, he goes almost mad. He doesnt want to believe, but yet that is exactly what he does. Desdemona is caught up in the web of lies and jealousy that she tries to figure a way out and doing so, Othello believes that she is cheating and that she can not pass his test. Tetcht, let me seet (Act 3 Scene 4 Lines 87) because she can not produce the handkerchief that this is the evidence he believes he needs.

He takes all that he has been told and unleashes his anger out plots to have Cassio killed and he is to deal with his beloved Desdemona.
