Small Gods is the story of the Great God Om, a deity of the fantasy land of Discworld. When Om incarnates in preparation for a wave of renewed religious fervor among his believers he finds himself instead trapped in the body of a tortoise and cut off from increasingly corrupt members of his own faith. Finding belief in the young novice Brutha, Om struggles to come to terms with the state of his religion and to become a better god in the process.
