The Pigman is a novel about John Conlan and Lorraine Jensen, high school sophomores who befriend Mr. Pignati, a widower. After initially pranking him, Mr. Pignati becomes a fatherly figure towards them, giving them the love they lack at home. When Mr. Pignati is in the hospital, the kids take care of his house, which gets ransacked during a party they throw. To make up for the incident, they bring Mr. Pignati to the zoo, who suffers a fatal heart attack after learning his favorite baboon has died.

Review: Their chapter summaries aren't as good as other providers, but PinkMonkey often has interesting insights that aren't mentioned elsewhere on the Internet. For example, they go over literary elements (like setting, conflict, and mood), compare and contrast, and symbolism/motifs. It's a good site if you want to find a unique fact or angle that other students don't know about.
