Hatchet tells the story of Brian Robeson, a thirteen-year-old boy who becomes stranded in the Canadian woods after a plane crash. Though he has only a hatchet and his wits to help him live on his own in the wild, he manages to build shelter and find food for himself. He faces multiple physical and emotional hardships as he struggles to survive and cope with his parents' divorce.
