The Caine Mutiny is the story of Willis Seward Keith, a wealthy and na´ve young man who takes service aboard the USS Caine during World War II. Dissolute and weak-willed, Keith nonetheless finds disdain for Commander Queeg, the Caine's newly-assigned captain, and becomes embroiled in a court martial case questioning his own and Queeg's credentials. In the end Keith is exonerated, partly based on his wealth, while Queeg is relegated to a backwater post.
